Wasn’t Vancey on BBC London the other week: http://biasedbbc.org/blog/2016/08/19/little-mx/ and The Big Questions in May? http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07bl14c

Is his exclusion a recent development?

Surely he does have a platform for his views? Apart from his prolific tweeting, he was on Talk Radio not so long ago.

Doesn’t RT exploit speakers willing to express anti-British or anti government views for the furthering of their own political agenda? In some ways appearing on RT verges on ‘useful idiot’ territory.

When I used to write ATL on Biased-BBC RT even approached me once. I forget what the topic was supposed to be. (I wasn’t tempted.)

I know the terms ‘left’ and ‘right’ have come to mean whatever one wants them to mean, but to call David Vance’s views ‘mildly’ right wing is stretching it a bit.
suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02693686958796849316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-12093665797913279442016-09-07T12:23:46.805+01:002016-09-07T12:23:46.805+01:00My mate David Vance, who runs a blog named A Tangl...My mate David Vance, who runs a blog named A Tangled Web which looks at mainly, but not exclusively Northern Irish politics has virtually been banned by the Beeb, and now broadcasts his comments via the RT wavelengths. It is indeed a strange thing to report that he has to use a channel well-known for certain viewpoints in order to get his viewpoint across, having been erased from the BBC wavelengths, presumably because his arguments come from a mildly right-wing viewpoint.Mike Cunninghamhttps://mikecunningham.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-69906619291077014022016-09-04T18:57:27.634+01:002016-09-04T18:57:27.634+01:00As a King's alumnus I have watched a once prou...As a King's alumnus I have watched a once proud institution crumble as a source of pride, though it still trumpets 'top rank' status via whatever academic rankings certain types like to chart.

When I was there it was a powerhouse of professions; medicine, law, engineering... Plus sports, awesome rag week events, gigs and parties.

Now it seems only in the news for tripe like this. The arts faculty was minute, but true, did dominate the student union. They were left alone to rage until they sent funds earmarked for booze to some activist effort, so we all cut classes to boot them out as they always held votes during the day when most of us were working.

Of course the others are little better. UCL especially seems utterly dire.

I once harboured the hope my boys would go to one of these universities. No more. Going to sit them down and have a long hard chat about what they put in... and get out of their 3 years. And steer clear of.

I speak as a concerned father, and experienced employer.

Emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550976834509947355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-27513304673665811252016-09-04T10:42:09.728+01:002016-09-04T10:42:09.728+01:00To compliment the literary analogy in the previous...To compliment the literary analogy in the previous post an even more disturbing one might be Orwell’s ”Two Minutes of Hate”. I can’t think of any way to explain this other than sheer brainwashed stupidity. It is as if, like subjects of a sinister psychological experiment, the mere mention of the word Israel closes off the part of their brain that thinks rationally and they become idiots.
Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05818860172734529356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-23200111308598486442016-09-04T02:05:07.149+01:002016-09-04T02:05:07.149+01:00There does seem to be quite a correlation between ...There does seem to be quite a correlation between Roman Catholic upbringing and anti-semitic activism. Of course it wasn't that long ago that Jew hatred was official dogma and taught to children. Even Frank Skinner recalls growing up thinking Jews actually had little horns on their heads. Amazing but true! I am not convinced the anti-Jewish tropes have been fully excised from RC culture.
