This is always the code used by the far left to describe anyone who opposes them. I was surprised, given the BBC’s stated aim of explaining the news this was not examined. In the same report it stated than the flaws in the Venezuelan economy under Chavez only became apparent after the fall in the price of oil. Implying, in my mind at least, that they weren’t really flaws at all, but somehow the fault of outside forces. Is this the new narrative - or rather is the old narrative still in place?
