There's nothing boring about being an accountant. Unfortunately, they are on WordPress and we're on Google Blogger.

The latter seems more reliable (no website crashes) but is hard to do much with - especially in making comments easy.

Me and Sue aren't overly techy, alas. The books may balance but be massively wrong or may not balance but be substantially correct. But , then I am a boring accountant just spoiling their fun.

Over the many years that, professionally , I had to watch budget and "pre-budget" statements, read the press releases and subsequent legislation, very bored , but , at least paid for it, I noticed that the BBC always used to cut the shadow Chancellor's reply short if he was Tory but show it in full if he was Labour. Wednesday was true to form. Oh, so incredibly tedious.

This last week or two, there have been two of these programmes back to back on BBC2 - one featuring home decoration/designdesign, and the other the Masterchef serious.

The format is almost identical - the winner announcements are probably pre-recorded, with a space to "enter your chosen name, here".

Speaking of Mastechef - I usually quite enjoy it, but after a while, both presenters and combatants all end up saying pretty much the same stock things. yes, we KNOW they'd all like to win - that is all we need to know.xenisegahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03101323762079723972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-82860563228628128172014-12-04T23:12:43.917+00:002014-12-04T23:12:43.917+00:00I don't know which media colleagues Finklestei...I don't know which media colleagues Finklestein is referring to, but Nick Robinson eventually apologized for keeping quiet about it. Yet another instance of his protection of politicians instead of being an honest news broker.

As for the Temple Mount, I complained many, many times in the B-BBC days about how the BBC always made sure to point out its importance to Islam but never emphasized its significance to Jews in the same way. To do so would appear to be favoring Jews, of course, bringing in "complaints from both sides" about being a Zionist shill. Jews wanting to pray at their only actual holy place after nearly 2000 years of other people controlling it is seen by the Beeboids as a provocation and not a genuine religious desire. When it comes to any Jews other than the secular, "I'm a cultural Jew only, me, and a critic of Israel", the BBC sees only negatives.

Yes, a minority of ultra-orthodox Jews believe that Jews should stay away until the Messiah comes (the same ones, more or less, who initially didn't want the State of Israel because that could be brought into existence only by the Messiah or whatever), but the vast majority of Jews would pray there in a heartbeat if allowed, without wishing to harm a single hair on a sainted Palestinian head.David Preisernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-35441419280349363772014-12-04T17:11:09.351+00:002014-12-04T17:11:09.351+00:00Oh, thank you very much Davieboy.
