It seemed very balanced. It didn't over-romanticise the revolt, or ignore the context (desperate Great War and Unionist opposition to a Republic on the island). And it was very vivid (drawing on documentaries from the archive). If only all BBC programmes were as balanced, as well crafted and as informative. The BBC also did a good job on Newsnight of exposing the scary possibility that<br />N Korea really is going to get an nuclear armed ICBM that can reach West Coast USA very shortly.
