Could it be the excessive BBC coverage has given them more exposure and publicity than they could ever hope for?
I'm sure if the Green party were given the same treatment, people would sit up and consider them a viable voting option as well.
The fact that UKIP will be appearing on TV debates when Green have been denied is unjustified and obvious bias.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3272054900018746845.post-32169021533385265742014-10-13T03:04:52.263+01:002014-10-13T03:04:52.263+01:00One reason UKIP (Farage, mostly) gets more airtime...One reason UKIP (Farage, mostly) gets more airtime than the Greens is that the BBC needs to undermine and attack the former because the public is more likely to vote UKIP than Green. It's more important to convince the public that UKIP is merely a more articulate and better-mannered BNP than it is to support the Greens.

The other main reason is that most BBC producers and editors realize the Greens are a joke and going nowhere nationally, and that neither Lucas nor Bennett do well on their shows. The Beeboids don't want to give loopy Lucas too many opportunities to make her party and Green ideology look bad.

Plus the ratings and social media engagement-driven BBC knows that a UKIP feature will get more attention. Priorities, eh?David Preisernoreply@blogger.com
