Still at least she's being replaced by that nice Blairite former Labour cabinet minister James Purnell on a £295,000 a year salary - and he's going to have a well-paid deputy too (also covering Ms Boaden's old job).

    Time for the gravy train to be derailed! :) The number of BBC managers is absurd and their pay is equally absurd. There are probably 10x the necessary managers.
