The BBC News website's home page has the following headline this morning:
The BBC report's sub-headline is:
And who is being quoted there? A politician or diplomat from one side of the dispute? No, it's the BBC's diplomatic editor James Landale.
The BBC is highlighting its own reporter's take on the news there.
And that's not his only opinion. James also blames the defeat on the Brexit vote:
"Sources close to the BBC have learned that the BBC thinks the BBC audience is not aware the BBC is as bent as a nine Euro note" a BBC 'spokesperson' has not been quoted as saying.
ReplyDeleteOdd that, almost as if the BBC don't want us to give the islands back to Mauritius...after have campaigned long and hard for the last 50 years for us to do so! :)
ReplyDeleteBut then , the BBC is about as principled as a pimp on cocaine.
I don't understand why you think the BBC is supporting the British government's position.
DeleteOnce again, you've highlighted the absolute corruption of the whole system of BBC titled editors. Their job is to give opinion, and editorial policy allows their opinions to inform everyone else's journalism. Once again we have to wonder, how is this not a complete and utter violation of the impartiality remit?
ReplyDeleteTheir review of the Radiohead gig at Glasto should be a hoot.
