On days such as this, who does our nation most yearn to hear from?
HM the Queen? Hugh Grant? Me?
No.
The nation inevitably turns, as one, to the voice of the BBC himself - John Simpson.
And here's what The Impartial One is saying so far:
Just back from the wifi-free S African wilderness to find a full-scale constitutional crisis under way. Downing St assured the BBC on Sunday that it was entirely false to claim Parliament would be prorogued. Is truth just going out of the window? #Prorogation— John Simpson (@JohnSimpsonNews) August 28, 2019
Well said, Mark. Our political leaders increasingly prefer to avoid facing questions about the most important issues. https://t.co/LL9hPk9nDu— John Simpson (@JohnSimpsonNews) August 28, 2019
Fake News? Sure I saw a broadcast interview with Boris.
ReplyDeleteTruth or spin to talk about 'a full blown constitutional crisis'? Did Simpson and the BBC tweet about a constitutional crisis when our elected representatives, various ex-whatnots and whatevers and the Speaker conducted a campaign to stop us leaving the EU in accordance with the referendum result?
ReplyDeleteNo, not because it wasn't or isn't but because they were campaigning as well.
