Israel’s security cabinet approved the Egyptian ceasefire proposal despite the fact that it’s still a long way off its objective, eliminating Hamas’s ability to send rockets from Gaza.
Mahmoud Abbas was in favour and Hamas against. So when Hamas continued to fire rockets into Israel after the deadline, Israel resumed strikes too.
