This has been a very weird spectactle, hasn't it? Hacked Off comes off looking very sketchy, and it seems generally acknowledged that they were working with the BBC on it. As they did with Leveson. The BBC would also like to get rid of Whittingdale.
Can't think why, he pretty much is on record as having them everything they could hope for:1. Licence fee unique funding in perpetuity2. No possibility of anyone not paying it, no matter what 3. Accountability moved from The Trust to a civil service bbcphilic quango
