I've got a suggestion for dealing with the "asylum seeker" problem - let everyone (like Steph Hegarty) who welcomes them with open arms be encouraged to register as (a) being prepared to welcome them into their own homes (b) being prepared to pay to house them in this country if (a) is not possible and (c) being prepared to give up their own jobs if the asylum seeker is looking to set themselves up in the same trade or profession.
