“Jools Holland and his awful Hootenanny”

Rob Burley, swashbuckling former editor of BBC live political programmes, looks to be enjoying his Twitter freedom. Here he was first thing today - as the fireworks were dying away and the dogs tentatively emerging from under their owners:
Consider it a success that I didn’t watch any of Jools Holland and his awful Hootenanny. It’s all that boogie woogie piano Jools goes in for that I can’t abide. Never get a sense he’s into anyone else’s music as much as that boogie woogie he tries to adorn everything with.

 My sentiments exactly.
