What do they have in common?

As posted by Anon on the open thread earlier today, here's a funny skit from 2007 (though not, of course, from the BBC).

Less funnily, it suggests that what was satire then is reality now:

  1. My sons overheard this and came to watch the whole thing. Laughed out loud. They are 23. The MSM is in real trouble.

  2. Listening to Nihal Arthanayake on R5Live this afternoon, interviewing 2 people who produced (I think, they may have just listened/watched it) a new pilot programme called "Islamic". Laughter and ho ho ho.
"They went to an airport, ha ha..."
    "Racial profiling ho ho ha"
"It dealt with exactly the issues we deal with from inside 'that community' ho, ho, ha"

Except there was no mention of say, grooming gangs, jihadists, why airport security is what it is these days...

I have not seen/heard the programme itself and it might be brilliant. On the other hand, it might be an attempt to brush questions about the 'community' under the carpet.
