"This is a war on all our culture and all our countries"

Last night's Newsnight special ended with a dramatic 'piece to camera' from Emily Maitlis in Paris:
Well, no expected to see us here back in the same city twice in one year. We were here in January after the Charlie Hebdo attacks and what's striking is how we tried to to make sense of them then. Was it, we asked, about press freedom? Was it about satire? Was it about causing offence? The answer, in the light of what's happened here now, is clearly 'no'. This is a war on all our culture and all our countries. And it almost certainly won't end here in France. But from all of us here, good night!

  1. My God, someone at the BBC gets it. She'll get the sack for that.

  2. Not exactly brave if you leave out the I word and fail to elucidate that IS intend to implement Sharia globally - an ambition shared by just about every Imam in every Mosque throughout the world. However, better than the usual gloop I suppose.

  3. They're getting a little nervous, aren't they? By the way, Andrew Neil will either be sacked for his "Islamist scumbags" rant or will inspire a revolt by Beeboids who have had enough of the agenda pushed down their throats. If there are enough decent human beings left at the BBC to feel that way, that is.

    1. The signals are very mixed at the moment. Let's hope it's the latter.

    2. Emily Maitlis can go straight to hell. A couple of years ago I saw her laugh openly at a guest who suggested that there are Muslims who believe they are at war with the West.
