Say Hello, Wave Good Bias...

I'm not convinced that BBC Radio 4 journalist Michael Buchanan entirely buys the Daily Express's take on things here:

There's nothing a BBC reporter on Twitter likes more than mocking a right-wing tabloid, is there?

  1. Not waving but drowning.

  2. Is Private Eye really Right-wing? It's more anti-establishment and contrarian than really right-wing, no? Hislop's a Warmist, never makes jokes about Obama, believes in all the socialist public programs. Sometimes, I think he puts on the conservative act.

Aside from that, it seems like there's a lot of misdirection going on with the coverage of this photo. Who really thinks an eight year-old girl knows anything about what the Nazis were starting to do? Why is that the focus and not the fact that her family knew all about the crackdown on Jews, and didn't care. They still supported Hitler privately. And here they are making their little girls wave to Uncle Adolph. It is a sickening image, but not for the reasons we're told. I haven't spent time looking through the BBC website, but certainly what television I've seen has spun it away and not gone anywhere near the reality.
