Ramadan Mubarak

Please tell me this is a spoof. There are so  many things wrong that I don't know where to start (but how about it's "dan" with an "n" not "dam" with an "m")

  1. The only good thing about this is you can tell he doesn't believe a word of it. He's a Marxist atheist. He'll have read what Marx, Engels, Lenin, Trotsky, Mao and the rest have to say about religion.

  2. Beyond satire.

To quote a comment elsewhere, "Can’t wait until HIGNFY gets hold of this…Along with hell freezing over if Ian and Paul treasure the chekky."

  3. This comment has been removed by the author.

  4. I look forward to the follow-up talk on Jihad delivered in similar Jackanory tones. As a style I think I prefer the bad-tempered shouty references to Keir Hardie. Equal in comedy value and utter irrelevance, but rather more convincing. This clown could be Prime Minister in a couple of weeks time.

  5. Theresa May has done one too:

    1. Sickening. Inviting people into the Mosque is not about sharing on an equal basis it is about showing the superiority of Islam and offering opportunities for conversion (or reversion as followers of Sharia would have it). She must know that (she's a graduate of one of our foremost unis FFS), so she must be lying.

  6. What I find so extraordinary about this whole obsession with Islam that seems to have gripped both the BBC and much of the political classes is that never before in my memory have any other non-Christian group been celebrated in this way. I’m not banging a drum for Christianity. I have no allegiance to any religious faith, but this is completely unprecedented. I’m sure there are many reasons including that old chestnut, liberal angst and post-colonial guilt - even the need to shore up that wholly artificial construct, multiculturalism. Yet, somehow these sentiments don’t seem to apply to other religious groups - or if they do, they are always trumped by Islam. Once I would have thought this an absurd proposition, but we are slowly drifting towards Sharia without even realising it.

At the heart of it all this I can’t help feeling there is a kind of cowardice.
