Who knew?

In 2009 Jeremy Corbyn, writing for the extreme-left Morning Star, said that a decision by the BBC not to broadcast a 2009 appeal to send money to Gaza showed the “unbelievably high levels of influence that Israel’s government appears to have in the upper echelons of parts of the media”.

In the words of  Iggy Ostanin (the Bellingcat journalist who discovered the old MS article) this is Mr. Corbyn "invoking" the "antisemitic 'Jews control the media' slur".

Ah but, as Julia Hartley Brewer observed, "Maybe this is yet another article that Jeremy Corbyn just didn’t bother reading (even though he wrote it)" - after which someone replied, "His hands were present, but his brain wasn’t involved."

  1. I wonder how long the BBC will ignore this story. No sign of it yet on their website.

What was the appeal called? "Cash for Kalashnikovs"?
