That old smoothie, Andrew Marr, was paying the ladies a 'male feminist' compliment last night:
Sitting knackered on the sofa at home, watching the amazing Sophie Raworth and Reeta C - and Laura K - still at it. Maximum respect. Girls really are tougher.
He shouldn't have bothered. He's being called "patronising" and "sexist" (for using "girls" rather than "women"). Oh dear.
The comments are funny though. One wrote: 'He meant to say fillies'. I laughed at that and a few more. That's what I like about twitter. There's so much wit and humour where it could just be serious comment.
