Views their own

Not content with being famous for snarking at the present US president, not a lot of people know that Jon Sopel, the BBC's North America Editor, is just as happy to snark at pro-Brexit celebs too...

Wonder which way Jon voted on 23 June 2016?

  1. Hardly impartial, is it.
More interesting is that he is using multi-millionare and patriot as derogatory terms. Disliking Multi-millionaires is usually about envy, but what to make of the BBC trend to sneer at patriots?

  2. I wondered why they had him (Caine) on their programme - not exactly a Today sort of person. He obviously pleased them with his crass comment. One funny aspect of his appearance was that due to a continuity cock-up Mishal "Goody Two Shoes" Husain was heard saying "bloody does" - well sounded like...only realised later on she was rehearsing the "only told you to blow the bloody doors off" line.

And what's Sopel's tax arrangement? Does he pay tax in the USA? And if so does he make up the difference? I think we should be told...

  3. Unlike the BBC, which is famous for enabling it's stars to avoid taxes and stay in the UK!

    1. Spot on!
And.. most of its big stars and little stars are also multi-millionaires, paid for by our TV tax. Which we can’t avoid , unlike them.

  4. Doesn't that just sum up the BBC, the line between "national treasure" and "senile far-right bigot" is mighty small in their "minds"....

    1. Oh yes - this is the horrible vindictiveness of our age isn't it?

The BBC used to love Morissey - now he can do no right, so to speak since he departed the PC line. They have the knives out for him.

Bowie would have been cast into the outer darkness had he lived now...remember, he said we needed fascism in the UK and said quite few other non PC things.

Likewise Eric Clapton who said some nasty things after "a man" (as we say now) pinched his girlfriend's bum.

Basically if their equivalents said the same now, their music would never ever be played on a BBC station again.

  5. Ah, taxes in the 1970s. If I was him I would have left too.

  6. Alleged comedian Nish Kumar, presenter of a BBC news-related programme shows he is "Impartial, free and fair" on Qestion Time: "The leaders of Brexit have fled the scene. Nigel Farage is a moron, Jacob Rees-Mogg is the ghost of a Charles Dickens’ villain, and Boris Johnson had abdicated any responsibility in favour of squatting down and curling out a weekly column in the Daily Telegraph."

So the BBC is fine with its presenters calling leading politicians morons?

And what was the egregious Kumar doing on QT in the first place. Will the BBC start including other presenters?
