That was one of two possible outcomes laid out recently by the BBC assistant political editor Norman Smith:Norman Smith: One, another referendum on Brexit itself, or two, crashing out of the EU without any deal.A number of viewers have taken exception to the phrase used at the end there with Ian Frost asking:Ian Frost: Why does the BBC use the emotive term 'crashing out of the EU'? 'Crashing out'? It could be a soft, gentle and fluffy occurrence - no one knows. Come on it - the water's lovely!
