Did I just hear this right on the BBC news?
“Gisela Stuart has failed to apologise for Vote Leave overspending…”
Not even “declined”. “Failed.” The BBC clearly feels it’s her duty to do so.
In other news, the BBC has failed to apologise for its years of anti-Brexit bias.

RD did indeed hear it right. Tina Daheley, presenting the BBC One late evening news bulletin last night, read out the following BBC script: 
The former Labour MP Gisela Stuart, a key figure in the Vote Leave campaign, has failed to apologise for the group breaking electoral spending rules. The organisation dropped its appeal against a fine after it was found to have exceeded spending limits during the referendum.
