Having congratulated him for his fine, fair performance handling the Boris-Jeremy debate last night, I suppose we can't begrudge Nick Robinson for being insufferably smug about it on Twitter this afternoon:
Over 4 million people watched the BBC Prime Ministerial Debate reaching the parts other shows simply cannot reach & helping the undecided & the unengaged make their choice. TV debates are not staged to entertain the Guild of Hacks, Pundits, Spinners & Allied Trades.
If there a Smug event at the Olympics Robinson would win Gold every time. :)
