Radio 4's Sunday had a very 'Sunday' take on events on Capitol Hill this morning. They interviewed Robert P. Jones, author of White Too Long: The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity, who talked of "the ownership of the country by white Christians", and Bishop Mariann Budde, who lamented the US's "nativist, racist Christian past". They agreed with each other.
