In which Emily Maitlis calls President Trump an "Angry Toddler"

Emily Maitlis's introduction on last night's Newsnight began as follows:
Tonight he has called one mayor "a stone cold loser", and another, "dumb and incompetent". That was before Donald Trump had even made it off the plane! As 13 Tory leadership hopefuls jockey for position, how should they respond to America's President? We talk live to New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on the receiving end of today's Angry Toddler Tweet. And we discuss with our studio guests on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sticking with the sci-fi theme, it's impartiality Jim, but not as we know it.

  1. There would be a long discussion on the Starship Enterprise before Mr Spock interjected: "It's quite simple, Captain. What we have here is the BBC, a multiheaded semi-holistic monster 3 million miles wide that can emanate in all media and cause societal breakdown within a few years. You have to destroy it in its entirety now before a gets a hold on the crew. I've noticed already that Mr Sulu has been calling your Captaincy stale, male and pale since he started listening to Countryfile..."

BTW Why didn't she call Khan's piece in the Observer "An angry midget rant?"

  2. My, what a fall from her recent high-flown linguistic outpourings. I would have expected something more in keeping, say Exogenous Vexation, than this lazy resort to the coarse language and sentiment of the common people.
