Here's a curious thing: If you look back through the Woman's Hour archive for 2016, you'll find they haven't discussed the extraordinary wave of attacks on women on New Year's Eve across several European countries.
Whether you're a fussy eater or not, a restaurant offering work to migrant women, bisexuality, whether allowing MPs to vote from home would make parliament more family-friendly, etc - all of those have been discussed, but not the wave of attacks on women in Cologne and other cities across Europe.
Strange, isn't it?
We already knew that feminists were happy to stay silent about gender apartheid in Islamic countries. It's not a big step to extend that silence to the whole of Europe.
ReplyDeleteClearly that ever-present BBC commitment to 'balance' is kicking in to offset their 'tell it often enough' fibs. In this case, 'Nothing to see here, move along'.
ReplyDeleteWoman Hour in the past would feel it appropriate to have a discussion justifying terrorism against Israeli's on the day when 15 people were murdered by a terrorist in Israel see http://netanyalynette.blogspot.co.il/2012/07/letteabout-womans-hour-bbc-radio-4-may.html
