Just Exchange

One of the things about the kind of political debate you hear on the BBC is the mangling of language for political purposes.

Calling people 'anti-European' when they are actually pro-European but 'anti-EU' is one example. Calling people 'anti-immigrant' or 'anti-immigration' when they are actually in favour of controlled immigration is another.

All of which is something of an excuse to post a favourite piece of music. It's by a Polish refugee to the UK, Sir Andrzej Panufnik, and sets a lovely piece of Elizabethan poetry by Sir Philip Sidney.

It's utter perfection, in my opinion:

  1. I was somehow unaware of this exquisite little song. Thanks for posting, Craig.
