I think there are things afoot that cannot be corrected. Somebody put it to me the other day, look, what has happened to this country: Referendum result ignored, Police force of 10,000 put on alert against possible Brexit protests, MPs being allowed to vote wearing an electronic tag, HMRC failing to tell MI5 about proceeds of fraud being siphoned off to terrorist groups?
And then there's the mind control...Radio 5 Live. I switched it on expecting something about Brexit...to hear crowing Remainers battling it out with angrty Leavers. Nope...a long item (nothing wrong with it) about caring for brain-injured loved ones - cetainly made you count your blessings, whatever the Remainers are up to in Parliament. To be followed by "dogs" on Emma "I'm a Remainer" Barnett. Yes - dogs will cheer us Leavers up...if you did a poll I suspect you'd find dog owners are much more likely to be Leave voters than the general population...so think about cute puppies not politics.
ReplyDeleteIt would nice to live in a country where you could simply rule out the prospect of deliberate mind manipulation of this sort by the state broadcaster! Yes, it might be conincidence but I am sure there is a general feeling in the BBC that "once we have it in the bag, let's drop the whole Brexit thing for a while...turn down the pressure cooker" .
