BBC 'reporting'

And tonight's BBC News at Ten gave just 17 seconds in total, midway through the bulletin, to today's historic events:
Boris Johnson has signed the Withdrawal Agreement sealing Britain's departure from the European Union. The Prime Minister called it "a fantastic moment", and said it brought to an end "far too many years of argument and division." The UK is due to leave the European Union at 11pm on the 31st January.
And that was that. No mention of the EU signing it too.

  2. Where is the BBC Politics Editor to explain 'what we know so far'? Equally, where is the name of the Reporter(s) at the head of the main BBC News website story?

... 'Brexit: Boris Johnson signs withdrawal agreement in Downing Street'. ...

Compare the delivery of this story with the clamour of Laura K etc as they sought put put their personal touch to stories about Bercow, Letwin, Grieve, Hammond when they thought there was a chance to derail Brexit and stop it altogether. Sour Grapes indeed.

    1. That was my immediate reaction too, Arthur: where was Laura K to give us the usual bit of babble?
Great minds and all that, heh.

    2. Laura wore black again in Wednesday's Politics Live PMQs. I suspect we shall be in for much more of this sombre downbeat funereal reporting from the BBC's finest for here on in.
