I'm not quite sure why this has been haunting me all day, but as no one else (anywhere) seems to have been commenting on it in detail I will...
The end of last night's leaders debate ended with Nicola Sturgeon of the SNP going up and shaking hands with Natalie Bennett of the Greens and Leanne Wood of Plaid Cymru. All three of them then hugged. (That certainly has been well commented upon). Ed Miliband, hanging back, then approached and Nicola Sturgeon shook hands with him, as (in her wake) did the Plaid and Green leaders (in that order). Nigel Farage remained isolated at his podium. Natalie Bennett and Leanne Wood began to leave the stage, deliberately snubbing the UKIP leader, but Nicola Sturgeon turned round and made for Nigel Farage and deliberately shook his hand. Ed Miliband followed her and patted Nigel on the back.
Nicola Sturgeon, whatever else you might think of her, remains a class act.
