The Truth

No, it's not my birthday, but I'm still posting 'a political opinion' because it's the truth. H/T EoZ

  1. Hmmm...not very persuasive history or international law. The UN inherited the League of Nations mandate. Post WW2 it sanctioned the creation of two states within Palestine - one Jewish and one Arab - with international boundaries. Those boundaries were not far off the boundaries that emerged from the 48 war. The UN accepted Israel as a member state (which had also received recognition from both the Soviet Union and the USA), implying some satisfaction with its boundaries. I think Israel and its supporters are far better relying on UN recognition of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state rather than engaging in sophistry to try and justify annexation of major parts of the West Bank.
