OMFG. Saying that the US and Israel might laugh at the idea that Hamas is moderate is not the same thing at all as challenging Masha'al. Most Beeboids (Jonathan Marcus being the rare exception) believe the Jewish Lobby dictates US policy on Israel and the Palestinians. Bowen knows that, the complaints drone knows that. It's like if I said that the US wasn't actually controlled by Jews and Bowen responded, "Hamas would laugh at that."
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty clear that the BBC thinks they got it about right. And they're in denial of the bias in their coverage of Hamas attacks and rockets. Saying they've covered it isn't good enough when the way they cover it (i.e. demonizing Israel) is the problem. They honestly have no idea what they're doing wrong. Not surprising with the vicious attitudes of their journalists.
At least they didn't try the old 'complaints from both sides' routine. Maybe next time.
It's almost like they are just going through the motions and, even if these things are circulated around the editorial staff, they don't take them seriously at all. Because they clearly don't have to.
