Weel done, Laura K!
Interesting indeed. This too.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find most concerning about Beth Rigby is her appalling diction: "The gumt are gun be pwayin vur sumfin puztiv to put to the lectra." No excuses, as she has had every advantage in life!!
ReplyDeleteI did a similar analysis for the BBC Reality Check twitter feed a little while back. About 80% I think it was were focused on Conservative or Leave claims.
Just one I think was focussed on Labour (but wasn't necessarily hostile). And one was a load of nonsense.
Their defence would likely be that their criticism is mainly aimed at the governing party. The Conservatives are the ones in power and it is their journalistic duty is to hold them to account.
ReplyDeleteNot a defence once a GE campaign has started.
DeleteThere are no MPs now and broadcasters are supposed to be impartial and balanced.
Well who'd a thunk the Channel 4 chap would be slightly less bad than some of the big percentage Tory Bashers?
