Trouble at t'mill

“It’s like having a building where you keep the façade, but you knock down everything behind it and replace it with something enormously inferior.” 

So says a BBC 'source', as reported by The Sunday Times, about the plan to merge Newshour on the BBC World Service with Radio 4's The World Tonight. 

BBC 'insiders':

...fear that The World Tonight will lose its domestic nuance and “wouldn’t reflect the British perspective at all”.

Oh well.
