Vital statistics

Here's something more about today's The Andrew Marr Show....

There were 3 paper reviewers this morning, all women. The BBC doesn't count, of course (yeah, right!), but I do (as you may have noticed). So for stats fans everywhere, here are some figures:

Since the show returned from its summer break there have been 22 ladies reviewing the papers (some twice) and just 6 gentlemen.
Tracy Brabin MP, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Dr Leslie Vinjamuri, Michelle Dewberry, Helen Lewis, Amanda Platell, Shakira Martin, Sarah Vine, Sian Berry, Sarah Smith, Polly Toynbee, Kate McCann, Laura Parker, Camilla Tominey, Rachel Shabi, Sarah Baxter, Amanda Platell, Gisela Stuart, Gina Miller, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Faiza Shaheen, Jo Coburn.
Kamal Ahmed, Tony Connelly, John Nicolson, Henry Newman, Tom Swarbrick, Sam Coates.
Rob Burley's bound to be pleased.

    1. Incidentally, I am one of those people who for a long time thought 'lol' meant 'lots of love'. I really did once sent someone a text after they told me they had a serious illness with a closing 'lol'.

    2. One can only respond with another lol. Yes anyone born before 1990 has been there and done the lol thing...hopefully with not too dire consequences.

    1. I suspect Danny and Noreena might well have cracked open a second bottle of 1997 Chateau Jane Garvey to celebrate the BBC's achievement here.
