The BBC's very own Mr Boomtastic (Rob Burley) says it's fantastic:
Boom! It's a massive exclusive. Congrats to Sam McAlister, Emily Maitlis, Esme Wren and the Newsnight team.
Yes, Newsnight's Emily Maitlis, wearing trousers rather than her usual micro-frock, has interviewed Prince Andrew (the one from the House of Windsor, not the one from War and Peace) and you can see the result on BBC Two tonight.
How boomworthy will it be? Well, the not-so-grand old Duke of York has already given us a quote to remember, with shades of Bill Clinton (appropriately enough):
"I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady."— BBC Newsnight (@BBCNewsnight) November 15, 2019
The Duke of York has spoken for the first time about his links to Jeffrey Epstein and the allegations against him https://t.co/YfWs2EAi6v

Gatekeeping exercise ? A way of avoiding the future attention that Epstein's (non) suicide is garnering ?
ReplyDeleteI don't think Trump will let the Epstein thing lie and it's clear that lots of questions remain un-answered.
Interesting that Andrew is prepared to not just let the allegations slide into the history bin, especially as that happens at the speed of light these days.
Honestly if the Royal family keep going on like this then, sooner or later, they are sure to self-destruct. Unlike Jeffrey Epstein who definitely didn't kill himself.
