White People and Dreadlocks

Of course, Newsnight isn't alone in providing a platform for promoting the grievances of “Social Justice Warriors” like Emma Dabiri and Breitbart London featured another splendid rant - by Virginia Hale - on the subject of BBC Trending:
BBC Trending was launched in 2013 “to investigate social media trends around the world and the stories behind them” – yet even the most cursory glance at its website and YouTube videos reveals the platform of Britain’s public broadcaster, which claims “impartiality lies at the heart of public service”, is little more than a mouthpiece pushing the views of “Social Justice Warriors” (SJWs).

  1. Yes - I always think that BBC Trending is the equivalent of those zoom in shots of protesters' placards on BBC news - you know zoom in on "Farage is a Fascist" or "Tories desttroying our NHS". The defence is then "we're only reporting what's happening" but of course selection is all.

  2. Looking in the mirror I see Father Jack of the C4 "Father Ted" series. Am I guilty of cultural appropriation?

  3. Agenda? What agenda? The fact that the BBC is still so huge, so many channels and tentacles and outlets - that when they share content around it easily gives the impression of a Corporation-wide agenda. As we have bullet-proof evidence that they do have an agenda on certain issues (immigration, Islam, Warmism, multiculturalism), it makes it that much easier to assume an agenda on everything because they cannot be trusted.
