Clear enough guidance

If - like Theresa May - you say that UK-born workers sometimes find themselves out of work because of low-skilled immigration, then the BBC's Reality Check has a simple message for you: You're wrong.

Except during an economic downturn, "non-UK workers have no effect on the employment of UK-born workers", the BBC tells you (using Paul Johnson of the IFS's findings on the matter as the gospel truth).

So that's you told! The BBC has spoken.

(John Simpson would be so proud of them).
