Eddie Mair's sense of humour

Eddie Mair's first question (at 24:53) to the Colombian ambassador to the UK on PM today - following his country's referendum and the Colombian people's rejection of the peace deal struck between the government and the communist FARC rebels - was typical Eddie, and you'll either love it or loathe it:
Is the deal between the government and FARC off?

  1. I'm sure I've heard him chuckle over air disasters before now...

For my money by far the most irritating news presenter on Radio 4. Offensively bland and blandly offensive...above all he is in love with his voice which I can only suppose his mother praised on a daily basis for about 10 years of his childhood.

    1. Listen to the whole interview to discern Eddie's professionalism. Yes he has a sense of humour and a healthy disrespect for authority distilled
      from experience.

  2. The Columbian Ambassador's barely discernible wobble was priceless.
It can't be the first occasion to regret a hastily chosen acronym.
